The individual Ph.D.

Not all Ph.D. projects fit into one of the MMRS core areas or into one of the associated programs. If your topic is not covered in any of our programs, you can apply for an individual Ph.D. in Medical Research.

The individual Ph.D. Medical Research

Since not all institutions of the Faculty of Medicine are represented in one of the MMRS core areas or Research Training Groups, doctoral candidates can apply for an individual, i in other words tailor-made Ph.D..
The individual Ph.D. is therefore only aimed at candidates whose research topic does not fall within one of the core topics or associated programs. All others should first apply directly to the appropriate focus area or Research Training Group and unfortunately cannot be considered for the individual Ph.D..
