The Faculty of Medicine at LMU is one of the strongest research faculties in Germany - in other words, the perfect place for your doctorate!

Medical & Clinician Scientist Program (MCSP)

The MCSP is a structured funding program of the Faculty of Medicine to support young scientists at the LMU Medical Center who are pursuing an academic career and further development in university medicine.

Habilitation

The habilitation serves to formally determine the scientific and pedagogical suitability to become a professor in a specific subject area at universities (teaching qualification). The recognition of the teaching qualification is the prerequisite for the additional granting of the teaching license.

Adjunct professorship

An adjunct professorship (apl. Prof.) can be awarded upon application to scientists who have demonstrably made outstanding contributions to research and teaching. An adjunct professorship alone does not establish an employment relationship.
