What is the Green Office?

The LMU Green Office serves as a central contact and coordination point for sustainability and climate protection on the Martinsried campus. It is a joint initiative of the Safety, Health and Sustainability Unit (SGN), the Faculty of Biology and the Biomedical Center. The aim of the Green Office is to make the campus more sustainable and to encourage and promote collaboration. We do this by collecting and communicating information and practical tips and by initiating and supporting projects. We closely cooperate with students, staff, lecturers, researchers and the campus student councils.

Who works in the Green Office?

The Green Office is currently run by two students who are committed to sustainable change on campus.

What are current projects?

  • Certification of sustainable laboratory work: We coordinate and organise participation in the My Green Lab certification program.
  • Providing a knowledge database for students and staff on campus.
  • Networking of all initiatives and stakeholders on campus and beyond.
  • Organization of events.
