History of the Faculty of Medicine

The Faculty of Medicine looks back on a long tradition. Founded in 1472 as the High School of Ingolstadt by Duke Ludwig IX, the Faculty of Medicine, together with the Faculty of Theology and the Faculty of Law, formed one of the higher faculties (facultates superiores) common at the time.
