The Munich Medical Research School (MMRS) is the central institution of the Faculty of Medicine of the LMU, under which all doctoral programs of the faculty in the fields of human medicine, dentistry, human biology, natural sciences and the Ph.D. Medical Research are brought together.
The main task of the MMRS is to promote and improve the visibility, attractiveness and quality of doctoral studies at the LMU Faculty of Medicine nationally and internationally.
The MMRS registers all doctoral candidates and examiners in a central database, which is used, for a number of purposes, for example, to issue admissions, organize examination procedures and issue certificates.
The MMRS is the link between the doctoral committees, the doctoral office, as well as the Ph.D. core areas and associated programs. It consists of an office, a board of directors and a board of trustees. The Doctoral Office of the Faculty of Medicine is part of the MMRS.
The
MMRS management is the central point of contact for the Faculty of Medicine as advisor in all matters relating to the implementation of doctorates.
Together with the Doctoral Office, it is responsible for the administration of all doctoral processes at the Faculty of Medicine
The quality of doctoral studies in the aspects of teaching, supervision and recruitment concepts is carried out in close cooperation with the LMU Graduate Center, the central coordinating and service institution for doctoral studies at the LMU. This enables the MMRS to ensure that doctorates at the Faculty of Medicine meet consistently high standards.
