Doctoral candidates who are aiming for an experimental doctoral thesis can apply for a doctoral project in "Molecular Medicine", "Clinical-Translational Medicine" and "Inflammation Research-EKFS" as part of FöFoLe.
The aim is to train medical and dental students for research in medicine. This program was first established in July 2001 and promotes the training (12 months) of particularly talented and scientifically interested doctoral candidates of human medicine and dentistry for research in medicine. Since 2021, around 55 students per year have been admitted for a period of 12 months. The scholarship holders receive a scholarship of €861/month for 12 months.
Admission to the structured doctoral program is based on an application and selection procedure. Candidates of human medicine and dentistry at LMU who are in their 4th to 7th semester of study in the summer semester can submit their short application with the following documents by July 10 of each year:
