The LMU Faculty of Medicine offers a total of five different doctoral degrees. Depending on which qualifying degree you have, how long you would like to do your doctorate for and which career goals you have, you can choose the degree that suits you best. Your Thesis Advisory Committee (TAC) ensures optimal supervision - a committee put together specifically for your doctoral project, bringing together experience and expertise to provide you with the best possible support. You agree on a clear timetable for your project at the very beginning. This plan is reviewed during regular joint meetings and corrected if necessary so that your project remains "on track"! The curriculum of the medical and dental school is designed in such a way that each includes a research semester. This gives you, as a medical and dental student, the opportunity to immerse yourself in your doctoral project during this time and to tackle more challenging projects.
