The Postdoc Initiative at the BMC offers a platform for scientific and personal exchange between postdocs. Our aim is to support postdocs in their career development, promote interdisciplinary collaboration and build a strong network within and outside the BMC.
What do we offer?
- Organization of events: We initiate and organize seminars, workshops and regular get-togethers to promote scientific dialogue and facilitate networking.
- Identifying and addressing postdoc-specific issues: We analyze challenges faced by postdocs and advocate for their interests.
- Developing solutions: Together we develop strategies to improve the working conditions and career prospects of postdocs.
- Promoting collaborations: We support scientific exchange and joint projects between postdocs.

In order to create the best possible conditions for cutting-edge research, LMU has developed a range of counselling and practical services. The Postdoc Initiative at the BMC is also a founding member of the Munich Postdoc Network, a cross-institutional platform that connects postdocs from various research institutions in Munich.
