Overall Description of the Working Group

The scientific focus of our group lies in basic research in the fields of neuropsychobiology and behavioral medicine, particularly regarding learning and memory processes as well as information processing in the brain. Key areas of investigation include pain, addiction, psychotraumatology, and lifespan development. Another central focus is the integration of these findings into the development and empirical evaluation of behavioral medicine-based prevention and rehabilitation programs for various psychological, somatic, and neurological disorders.
