From 23 June to 13 July, the Germany-wide campaign ‘City Cycling - Cycling for a good climate’ took place once again. In the municipality of Planegg, 39 teams, including the ‘BMC LMU’ team, took to the start line to send a strong signal in favour of climate-friendly and healthy mobility.

With a total of over 126,000 kilometres cycled, the participants were able to avoid an impressive 21 tonnes of CO2 over the three weeks. This commitment once again earned the municipality of Planegg the top spot in the district of Munich. In the 'Participants per inhabitant' category, Planegg came top in the district with 77 participants and won 2,500 euros in prize money, which the municipality will invest in cycling projects.

The BMC team made a significant contribution to this success by covering a total of 11,226 kilometres. As a result, our team took first place in the municipal team competition.
