Students from LMU's Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy participated in this year's interprofessional GAME TEI Summit from November 11-13, 2024 in Hong Kong. Representatives of the LMU International Board, Dean of Clinical Studies Prof. Martin Fischer, Prof. Alexander Gerbes and Wencke Vonderhagen, attended the event together with other GAME faculty members from the Universities of Lund, Bologna, Korea and Nagoya to further expand international cooperation for interprofessional education in teaching.

Nada Nasri, student at the Faculty of Medicine, shares her impressions of the event:

"In November 2024, I was lucky enough to be a member of the LMU delegation to the GAME TEI Summi in Hong Kong together with fellow students of mine.

We were able to present LMU's plans and measures for supporting planetary health and innovation in the medical sector and were able to get a solid picture of the efforts of other international partner universities to shape the health sector economically at this interdisciplinary summit.

By visiting research laboratories, hospitals and AI centers in Hong Kong and discussing the different innovative approaches of the universities, we were also able to gain insights into the trends and plans for the future of medicine in other countries.

Our free time was just as enriched with diversity as the conference program. We had the chance to explore the rich culture of Hong Kong with its intertwined aspects of urban modernity, beautiful nature and history. This cultural exchange and the lively discussions with students from different countries about traditions, living conditions and medicine has been one of my most beautiful and formative experiences during my studies so far.

As an Egyptian student from a diverse background whose medical studies have allowed her to experience a different culture and meet great people, I can only rave about the importance of interdisciplinarity and diversity for academic and personal development."
