Prof. Dr. iur. Peter J. Knüpper

Professor Knüpper was General Manager of the Bavarian State Dental Association (BLZK) from 1995 to 2018. Before moving to Munich, the administrative lawyer was mayor of the municipality of Bernkastel-Kues (1987 - 1992) and the city of Koblenz (1992 - 1995). As a lawyer (admitted in 2003), he specialized in dental law and has been teaching the history of medicine/dentistry and professional dental law at the LMU since 2013. In 2023, Knüpper was awarded a PhD with “summa cum laude” at the Free University of Berlin. Among other things, he worked honorary from 2002 to 2007 as Secretary General of the Bavarian Association of Freelance Professions (VFB).
