The European University Alliance for Global Health (EUGLOH) is an alliance within the context of the European Universities Initiative by the European Commission, composed of nine european universities. LMU is the only Bavarian university to participate in one of a total of 17 EU-funded European network universities. Under the title "EUGLOH - European University Alliance for Global Health", the network partners jointly develop interdisciplinary activities in study and teaching related to the topic "Global Health" for the establishment of a common European health area.
The alliance partners are:
• Université Paris-Saclay (France)
• Lund University (Sweden)
• Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich (Germany)
• Universidade do Porto (Portugal)
• University of Szeged (Hungary)
• University of Alcalá (Spain)
• UiT The Arctic University of Norway
• University of Novi Sad (Serbia)
• Universität Hamburg (Germany)
The common goal is to build an European campus for Global Health with diverse and interdisciplinary events in hybrid formats, an university for the future.
Please refer to the official EUGLOH website for further information.
Since 2009, the Center for International Health at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) Munich offers a platform for all departments within the Medical Faculty of LMU and outside which are involved in international cooperation in medical research education.
The League of European Research Universities (LERU) represents the interests of high-research Universities in Europe. LERU was founded in 2002 as a coalition of twelve universities. Eight new members were added in 2006. The aim of LERU is to actively shape the European university and research landscape. One of the main requirements is, among other things, the provision of substantial financial resources for the development of basic research.
