Young Scientists IO

Every two years, the Immuno-Oncology Foundation awards the "Young Scientists IO" research promotion prize to innovative and excellent scientific and medical work in the field of immuno-oncology that serves to give people diagnosed with cancer a better chance of a future worth living.

Young researchers from medicine and other scientific disciplines, such as biology or healthcare research, can apply if they are conducting research in the field of immuno-oncology. It is possible to apply before the age of 40 and before the habilitation.

The prize is endowed with a total of 15,000 euros and can be divided equally between a maximum of three people. The selection is made by an independent jury. The Research Promotion Prize will be awarded during the German Cancer Congress (DKK) in the spring of the following year. The award winners will have the opportunity to present their work to a broad specialist audience.
