Every year, the Bavarian Dementia Fund awards up to three prizes for scientific work that deals with practical issues to improve the lives of people with dementia living at home and their relatives.
Science Prize of the Bavarian Dementia Fund
The Bavarian Dementia Fund awards up to three prizes each year for scientific work that deals with practical issues to improve the lives of people with dementia living at home and their relatives.
Graduates and young academics from various disciplines can apply. Scientific papers from the fields of nursing science, psychology, architecture, gerontology and other disciplines are welcome.
Academic theses - whether a Bachelor's thesis, Master's thesis, dissertation or habilitation - are eligible for an award if:
- the work is related to people with dementia and their relatives in the Free State of Bavaria,
- the work has been completed at the time of application and
- the tax was paid no more than 18 months ago.
In addition to an official certificate, a cash prize of 1,000 euros will be awarded.
The application must be sent by e-mail as a pdf file with the keyword "Bavarian Dementia Fund Awards" to demenzfonds@lfp.bayern.de. The deadline for submitting documents is December 31 each year.
