The German Society of Internal Medicine (DGIM) supports young scientists with up to 10 Peter Scriba doctoral scholarships each year. Demanding, labor-intensive and scientifically high-quality (experimental) doctoral theses with a clinical orientation are supported, taking into account all areas of focus in internal medicine .
With the financial support of a semester off, doctoral students should be able to concentrate on completing outstanding doctoral theses. The funding of a stay in a foreign research laboratory is intended to give students with above-average qualifications an insight into scientific work.
The maximum total funding from the DGIM is up to €10,000.
The annual application deadline is 28.02.
