Accidental brain injuries dramatically change the lives of those affected and their families. Researching and treating the injury is a major challenge, as is the subsequent rehabilitation, because the brain is the most complex human organ, the seat of our personality and our existence.
The ZNS - Hannelore Kohl Foundation has a long tradition of supporting neuroscientific research: since its establishment, around 170 projects in this area alone have been financed from donations.

CNS Doctoral Scholarship
The ZNS - Hannelore Kohl Foundation supports a doctoral thesis in the field of neuroscience with a focus on traumatic brain injury as part of a scholarship. Funding is available for clinical, clinical-experimental and experimental work. A total of 10,000 euros The payment is made monthly.

Hannelore Kohl Sponsorship Award
The price is 10,000 euros and is awarded for a publication of high scientific quality as an award for outstanding achievements in the field of science. young scientists (under 35 years of age at the time of submission).
Original papers from the fields of clinical and experimental research on the following main topics will be considered:

1. Diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the neurorehabilitation of traumatic brain injury patients,
2. Neuroplasticity as the basis of recovery after brain injury,
3. Prevention of craniocerebral injuries,
4. Health services research on the situation of people with traumatic brain injury.

Experimental and clinical work can be considered equally.
