In December 2022, the Board of Trustees of the “Hufeland Prize” Foundation awarded a prize for dissertations in the field of healthcare research. Up to two doctoral theses will be supported with a sum of 5,000 euros each.
In December 2022, the Board of Trustees of the "Hufeland Prize" Foundation awarded a prize for dissertations in the field of healthcare research. Up to two doctoral theses will be awarded a sum of 5,000 euros each supported.
Doctoral candidates who are working towards or have already obtained a "Dr. med." or "Dr. med. dent." and whose work deals with health services research are eligible to participate. Doctoral candidates must not have completed their doctorate more than one year ago at the time of application.

The topics submitted are evaluated by the Foundation's Board of Trustees, which also decides on the awarding of funding. In addition to the founder of the prize, Deutsche Ärzteversicherung AG, the Board of Trustees includes the German Medical Association, the German Dental Association and the German Association for Prevention and Health Promotion.
The decision of the Board of Trustees cannot be contested.
