Publication of the statutory copies
Publication of the statutory copies
- Mandatory within one year of your successful defense
- Before you can submit your dissertation to the university library, we will send you the finalized cover page, which you must include in your dissertation for the university library (statutory copies) without any changes.
Important note: If changes are made to the final cover page sent by us, this may result in your mandatory copies not being approved.
- Options for publishing the statutory copies:
- Publication via the University Library: submit two printed copies of the dissertation and a digital version to the “Electronic Theses” department. For your support, there are regular, short training courses on the publication of dissertations
- or submit two printed copies to the University Library and publish the complete thesis as sole author in a journal or journal series
- or submit two printed copies to the university library and publish the work as a single author as a single publication in a commercial publishing house with a minimum print run of 150 copies guaranteed by the publisher
You can find information on creating the statutory copies in our FAQs.
