The supervision of Dr. rer. nat. projects

Candidates aiming for the Dr. rer. nat. can only be supervised by faculty members who themselves hold the title Dr. rer. nat.

Qualifications for the supervision of the Dr. rer. nat:

  • Doctorate in natural sciences (Dr. rer. nat. or equivalent)
  • Habilitation or professorship or exceptionally successful junior research group leadership
  • Member of the Faculty of Medicine
  • All supervisors should be without any conflicts of interest among themselves and towards the doctoral candidate. The DFG rules on conflict of interests point 1,2, 8 and 9 apply.

Upon accepting the applicant, the doctoral committee will appoint a supervisor based on the doctoral candidate's proposal.
