Subway:
Take the U1/U2 to Sendlinger Tor station, then walk along Nußbaumstraße heading out of the city centre (500 m), turn half-right at the crossroads into Lessingstraße; or U3/U6 to Goetheplatz station, then walk along Goethestraße towards the city centre (northbound) for approx. 400 m, turn half-left at the crossroads into Lessingstraße.

Bus:
Metrobus 68 departs from the main railway station (stop in front of the main entrance) and has a stop opposite the institute. (Stop: Beethovenplatz)

The Institute is located behind the Medical Reading Hall on the right-hand side of the street. It used to be called the ‘Institut für Geschichte der Medizin’, which is still visible at the entrance.

Visitors may make an appointment by email with Laura Ertl.
By appointment, access the Institute's library on Thursdays from 08:00 to 12:00.
The Institute's library is a reference library, which means that materials may only be used on site.
