Core Facility Bioimaging

The Core Facility Bioimaging provides state-of-the-art light microscopes for both standard and high-end applications. We also offer access to image processing. Our instrumentation includes brightfield, fluorescence, confocal, multi-photon, superresolution (STED) and fluorescence lifetime microscopes.

Available techniques include phase contrast, live-cell microscopy, automated image acquisition using motorized microscope stages, fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP), deconvolution and time-gating. Our expert staff are available for consultations, equipment instruction and other support.

We are a European Reference Center for Leica Microsystems and listed as Research Infrastructure in the RIsources database of the DFG.
