This event brought together animal carers, technical staff, researchers and members of GV-SOLAS. Under the theme ‘Interdisciplinary collaboration – achieving more together’, the focus was particularly on exchange between the various fields of laboratory animal science. The programme included scientific presentations, practical workshops and opportunities for professional networking. The hybrid format also facilitated cross-regional exchange.

In addition to the BMC’s organisational role, several staff members from the site were also actively involved in the scientific programme. They delivered their own presentations and workshops, bringing their specialist expertise to the conference content. This highlights the BMC's role as not only a venue, but also an active contributor to the advancements in laboratory animal science.

The programme was complemented by speakers from the Großhadern/Martinsried campus, various other Munich-based institutions and from across Germany. In addition, more than 20 industry exhibitors were present, facilitating direct discussion on current developments and technologies in the fields of life sciences and laboratory animal science.

The interdisciplinary exchange was highlighted by the approximately 400 participants and the professional association as a key benefit.
