Donation to Helfende Hände

This year, the Biomedical Centre is supporting the Munich-based organisation Helfende Hände with the donations received at our Christmas market.

As in previous years, the LMU Biomedical Centre hosted a Christmas market in December 2024. The stalls were lovingly decorated, offering baked treats and handmade gifts. Not only was there a pre-Christmas atmosphere, but a pleasing donation of 1,200 euros was also collected.
This year's donation went to Helfende Hände, a Munich-based organisation that supports, cares for and integrates people with severe multiple disabilities throughout their lives. The organisation supports around 150 children, young people, adults and their families in various facilities, including a special school, a curative education day centre, and residential facilities.
Our Managing Director, Dr Henrike Klinker, was delighted to personally hand over the donation to Jessica Schäfer from Helfende Hände last week.
