As part of the BMC Green Lab Initiative, participants cycled a total of 11,909 kilometres between 14 June and 4 July 2026 – exceeding last year’s result. Their efforts helped to save around 1,951 kilograms of CO₂.
Cycling was also a success within the BMC itself, with the main team securing first place with 5,739.3 kilometres, ahead of the sub-teams “Neuroimmunology” and “Bavarian Brain Riders”. The campaign shows how collective commitment can contribute to sustainable mobility.
Not only the BMC, but also the municipality of Planegg improved its result compared with the previous year. During the campaign period, a total of more than 166,625 kilometres were cycled in Planegg, saving around 27 tonnes of CO₂.
