The scent of mulled wine, freshly baked waffles and other festive treats filled the air, creating a festive atmosphere. As in previous years, the event raised a generous amount in donations. A total of €1,203 was handed over to KlinikClowns Bayern e.V..
The organisation operates in 125 facilities across Bavaria – from Aschaffenburg to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Over the years, its field of activity has been continuously expanded. The clowns visit children's hospitals, care homes for senior citizens, facilities for people with disabilities, wards for seriously ill adults, hospices and palliative care units.
These visits are financed largely by donations. It is not only the sick and elderly people who benefit from these regular visits. Relatives, doctors and nursing staff also experience brief moments of relief and distraction from what is often a very stressful daily routine in hospitals and care homes.
A big thank you to everyone who contributed in so many ways to the success of the BMC Christmas market and the fundraising campaign!
